#NYFW | CASA MUZA & The NY Sustainable Designers You Should Know
There is a sustainable fashionista's dream in the heart of the Lower East Side. CASA MUZA. A co-working studio, boutique, and an event space started by a collective of women driven to promote New York based designers, artist, entepeuers and my favorite thing...sustainability,
Yesterday, I headed to 83a Hester St to CASA MUZA for a NYFW presentation.
Here are the designers that you should keep on your radar.
Made in NYC with 100% "rican-nuyo" soul.- Aris Mejias. Garments without distractions. No logos. No Stretch Fabrics. Only woven textiles to capture the longevity and a blank slate to create stories and endless styles. Skin Onion is about layers and Aris Mejias is making a statement through pattern making.
Founded in 2016, American Fashion House, Anitra Michelle// HOMME was created to innovate the Menswear perspective. While initially masculine in intent, Michelle combines her feminine prospective to design garments that mesh texture and deconstruction to one of a kind garments.
