If there was ever a time where I wanted to be dressed as a beautiful Tulip or as green an insect at a cocktail party, it would be today. Meet Bcalla, created by New York born, Los Angeles based Designer Brad Callahan.
The SS19 capsule collection, in collaboration with Print All Over Me and presented by UnderpinPR, is entitled “Kindness Not Weakness.” Taking inspiration for the 1960’s silver screen, the “Lady of the House” and her butler host a soirée filled with laughter, projections of carnivorous plants and insects mating, drinks and French melodies.
Bcalla’s SS19 capsule collection is fashion’s answer to Beetlejuice meets Little Shop of Horrors. “Acid Glam” at it’s finest. In one instants it’s an Avant-garde costume party and in the the next moment a psychedelic insect monster mash.
Should we start this musical with “The Banana Boat Song” and have a conga line to “Jump In The Line” or just have synchronized singing of “Little Shop of Horrors.” Whichever musical number you decide, I think we could all fall in love with a look from this collection. Be it the iridescent Barbie-esque jumpsuit or the green caterpillar look, every piece is a showstopper.
