Private Policy NY SS25 Runway - From New York to LA

One Collection. 2 Different Messages.

I'm taking a look back at my favorite collection from the New York Spring/Summer 2025 season, “The Devil is Here.” In this show, @privatepolicyny, created by Parsons School of Design graduates Haoran Li and Siying Qu, questions the role of AI in disrupting creativity and productivity by revisiting office life and nostalgic silhouettes from the 2000s.

think “The Devil Wears Prada” meets “Severance.” Beautiful looks but an atmosphere mute of life, love, and happiness, just knocking on AI’s door. It all sounds miserable, but it is a fear close to home. The collection is inspired by Americana workwear, featuring classic denim with distressed details and silver hardware that add a subtle rebellious flair. Additionally, the inclusion of "Florals for Spring" and delicate sequins and drapery breaks up the uniform color palette of blue, maroon, grey, and apple green, giving a primarily unisex collection a feminine softness to break up the heavier looks. Very wearable

What I love the most about this collection is its wearability. Now that sustainability is in everyone’s mind while shopping, consumers are looking for “pieces” that enhance their wardrobe. How can I get the most bang for my buck? High-quality finishing and attention to detail.

Take a look at some BTS photos from the show.

ON THE RUNWAY - New York

In Los Angeles, the atmosphere is unique. The typical co-ed army of runway models has given way to a selection of influential and highly respected female leaders from various communities throughout LA, inspiring everyone around them. Drawing from Ruth Bader Ginsburg's words, "Women belong in all places where decisions are being made," Private Policy NY transforms the LAFW runway at the W Hotel into an interactive portrait series that brings to life those who lead with strength, wisdom, and compassion.
