I love nothing more than a collection with a captivating story, and "tHE Hotel Sivan" is just that. Presented at New York Men's Day for Fall/Winter 2025, this collection by JACK Sivan encapsulates the hotel experience through fashion and set design. Sivan imagines travelers in various stages of life and different professions wearing minimalist variations of tweed suiting and cotton corduroy with overcoats and notched lapels, greeted by the doorman and hotel management, all dressed in navy wool outfits adorned with beautiful blue button detailing.
Throughout the collection, the focus is streamlined by consistently using heavy winter fabrics that effortlessly align with indigo. The designs are accented with green Tencel fabrications, classic cotton shirting, and pops of orange and burnt red.
Set against a minimalist backdrop of vintage furnishings by @remixmarketnyc, Hotel Sivan creates a Neoplasticism "The Grand Budapest Hotel" very reminiscing of the painting by Piet Mondriaan titled "Composition C (No.III) with Red, Yellow and Blue." It's very fitting for the snowy backdrop of NYFW.
